Can I use a household drill on polished quartz rocks, sunstones, and sodalite rocks?

All three are polished before getting packaged. I was on my way home from somewhere, and in either Tennessee, or southern Kentucky, made a stop at a travel center type of gas station, and I saw packaged sunstones and sodalite. I got them $3 per package. The quartz, I filled a small bag and spent less than $5, forgot the exact price. I got these for collection, but am curious, just in case I come across these again:
If I want to use them to make jewerly, can I use a household drill to drill a hole in them without any damage? If so, how should I go about it?

You’ll need a diamond drill bit, something to pour water over the stone while you drill to keep the bit cool, and some sort of jig to hold the stone in place while you drill.
